Orphan

It was a beautiful day.

“Wake up Ava the sun is out," called Mother Madeline. Ava is an orphan. Her parents had died in a car accident. Since then she lived in an orphan home with 21 other children. Ava came downstairs worried that she was late. Ava picked up a piece of brown bread.

 Today it is a picture day. When she came downstairs there was a camera man. All of them posed and the camera man took a picture.

The Tree

“The bird over there is a Kirtland's Warbler,” explained Mrs. Williams the guide.  
“What is that that hand mean,” questioned Ava.

“That is the oldest tree in Canada. People thing that the hand was a symbol of Jack.

“Can you elaborate on that,” Mrs. Williams. 

“Jack cared for the environment more than anything he cared on earth for. The tree here was getting unstable. When people informed Jack about it, he decided to build a hand around tree to help it hold the tree longer. So, that’s why the hand was built.”
